Why Tena?

Arizona is home for Tena Dugan, and Maricopa is the community she is committed to serving. As a small business owner, Realtor, and active community voice, Tena sees firsthand how city decisions affect families, neighborhoods, local businesses, roads, safety, and everyday quality of life.

Her campaign is grounded in common-sense priorities and a simple belief: city government should stay focused on the people who live here. That means planning ahead for growth, protecting public safety, addressing transportation challenges, supporting economic opportunity, respecting taxpayers, and making decisions with transparency and accountability.

Tena is not running to add more politics to City Hall. She is running to help move Maricopa forward with steady, practical leadership rooted in service, preparation, and follow-through.

Tena supports a thoughtful, well-resourced approach to public safety that prioritizes readiness, reliability, and effective response when residents need help most. As Maricopa grows, public safety planning must keep pace so families, neighborhoods, and businesses can continue to feel secure and supported.

Growth is part of Maricopa’s future, but it must be planned responsibly. Tena supports smart growth that strengthens the city without overwhelming roads, utilities, public safety services, schools, or quality of life.
